I am approximately 8 months out from my semi-destination wedding, and have a million things going on at once. Many of my friends have a wedding blog, and I agree that it is likely a successful way to organize thoughts and get opinions on selections that need to be made for the big day.
My fiance and I were not intending on a complicated, long distance wedding when he asked me to marry him a year ago. We were psyched about becoming engaged, and started planning our wedding in the town we lived in - Saratoga Springs, NY. It's a beautiful area, and many brides come from around the country to marry there. We were glad to live in an area that is known for great weddings - easy, right? Some of the most desired venues and vendors were right in our backyard! It was like hitting the wedding planning jackpot. We booked and placed deposits immediately.
Then, three weeks later, my fiance was transferred to a suburb outside Cleveland, OH. I left my job and went with him.
The ease of planning suddenly became a complicated mess of hyper-organization, lists, and extensive trips and hotel stays in New York. This is going to be an outline of our journey... hopefully it'll help me organize all the ideas and decisions I need to sift through, get some ideas from other brides, and possibly even help those other brides with their planning process!
